Previously, the band around Xavier Naidoo mainly caught the attention with religious and mystical lyrics. On the new album „Iz On" political criticism and love songs take their place.

Both Angela and Peer get off their fat. "Die Politik ist nicht an allem Schuld, das ist natürlich Quatsch / Doch schuldlos ist sie auch nicht, und manches ist echt krass" are the lyrics of one songs, to name an example.

Loud, aggressive songs one searches in vain, and it sure is no music for a party. But that wouldn’t fit the Söhne anyways.

The band Söhne Mannheims by the way is a special case in the music scene: For over ten years now, the core of over a dozen musicians sticks together. How does that work? All get the same amount of money.

Fans of the Söhne are happy the band has always worked it out, else the new Album „Iz On“ would not be in the stereo today.
Overall, the album is very melodic, and full of experimental sounds.

Most of all it is, in Söhne-style, high standard: Both in terms of lyrics but also the quality of music.

October 25th, Söhne Mannheims will be playing at the Hallenstadion in Zurich.

With the album "Vier gewinnt" they had their breakthrough, meanwhile their discography has grown to eleven albums. „Die da?“ was their first hit, many others followed, like „Sie ist weg“ or „mfg“. Hardly any other band has influenced the German music and its lyrics as much es they did in the past decades: Die fantastischen Vier.

This summer Thomas D., Smudo, And.Ypsilon and Michi Beck celebrate their 20-year bandanniversary. The four can hardly believe it themselves. "That is really insane," said Smudo in an interview.
Fanta4 has achieved a lot, but most noticable the have legitimized German Hip-Hop and made it presentable. They became the one reference for all followers in German-speaking Hip-Hop.
Besides the big success as a band, the guys have been working and performing solo as well.
The big anniversary will be celebrated with a spectacular big open air concert in Stuttgart on July 25th. "It will definitely be a unique evening, even when everything goes wrong. Then even more."(Smudo).

For the most prestigious OpenAir - event in Switzerland Locarno opens its gates for the 6th time. For about ten days, the Piazza Grande becomes the stage for many big names in the music scene. Deep Purple plays, as does Tracy Chapman, Duffy ist performing, just like Placebo and Laura Pausini.
The "Montreux of the Southern Alps" attracts many great musicians every year; they are special concerts also for those who perform on stage.
For music lovers Locarno is a unique opportunity to hear and admire famous artists from various genres during almost two weeks, in which music is put first.

Funktionalität ist keine Eigenschaft, nach der Frau ihre Ausstattung zusammensucht. Soviel ist klar. Dass manche aber über die Eitelkeit ihren ganzen Verstand ausschalten, dass ist auch mir ein Rätsel. Selbst ich schaff es, an einem OpenAir zwar zu meiner Definition von „gut aussehen“ hinauf zu leben, ohne aber mein ganzes Badezimmer plus Kleiderschrank mit zu nehmen. Und das heisst einiges. Fragt mal meinen Freund

Was braucht man an einem OpenAir? Ein Zelt, Schlafsack, Stroh und Bier. Das ist die Grundausstattung. Weiss jeder. Gut, den Damen räumen wir noch ein paar kleine Extras ein. Muss ja, ich gehör schliesslich auch dazu.
Alles weitere wird dem Rahmen angepasst – und dem Wetter. Das war nun am diesjährigen Festli im Sittertobel nicht trocken. Im Gegenteil. Es hat geregnet, sehr. Alle die das Sittertobel kennen, wissen: Endprodukt gleich Schlamm. Damit war zu rechnen, dank Meteo wussten wir das, die Rahmenbedingungen also klar. Die Gummistiefel (oder im Falle der Herren Militärschuhe o.ä.) folglich oberstes Gut für die drei Tage, logisch. Oder doch nicht?!

Was bei Hitze und Sonne noch nicht auffiel, wurde im Laufe des regnerischen Samstags zu meinem Augenmerk Nummer eins. Da häuften sich FlipFlops über Ballerinas und Converse. Wobei im Laufe des Tages unter all dem Schlamm eine Definition der weiblichen Schuhwerke fast unmöglich wurde. Sie balancierten, quiekten, liessen sich tragen und doch nützte alles nichts. Die Schuhe sind hinüber, wenn sie nicht grad ganz im Schlamm stecken blieben und in der Untiefe verschwanden.
Ist das die Eitelkeit wert? Nö. Sag sogar ich.
Überdies muss man ja heutzutage auch mit Gummistiefeln nicht mehr aussehen wie der Opa vom Schrebergarten. Da gibts Blüemli und Karo, Schleifen und Farben zur Wahl. Und sonst geht wenigstens Barfuss, sagte ich, und watete mit Gummistiefeln und trockenen Füssen munter weiter durch den Schlamm.

Rom hingegen ist warm, heiss gar im Sommer und vornehmlich trocken. Eine Juli-Woche lang konnte ich das bunte Treiben in der ewigen Stadt beobachten und traute meinen Augen kaum: Stiefel. Soweit das Auge reicht. Was in L.A die Chihuahas, um Einwohner zu sein, das sind in Rom die Stiefel. Ja. Im Sommer. Schwitzen ist vorprogrammiert, ebenso der Fusspilz.
Nochmal: mindestens 35 Grad, im Schatten, und dir römische Frau trägt Stiefel. Hoch, robust, Leder. Ich mein, sagt mal gehts noch? Ich hatte mit Flip-Flops noch heisse Füsse.
Absurd. Absolut. Da kriegens die in St.Gallen nicht hin, ihre Sandäleli gegen richtiges Schuhwerk zu tauschen und in Rom tragen sie Stiefel im Hochsommer. Wenn auch nicht grad Gummistiefel, wären die OpenAir-Gängerinnen mit Besohlung a Roma weitaus besser ausgerüstet gewesen.

Darum: Für das nächste Jahr schlage ich vor, dass alle, die ins Sittertobel pilgern wollen, erst mal nach Rom reisen, und da ihre Ballerinas gegen Stiefel eintauschen. So haben alle etwas davon. Die Sittertobeldamen behalten trockene Füsse und die Romani ersparen sich den Champignon.

Wers doch nicht lassen kann, das OpenAir als Laufsteg zu benutzen, dem sei gesagt:

Since the team of alltickets went through a few changes, the alltickets-Leader had the good idea of organizing a company dinner. Nine people gathered on a Friday night at the Tramdepot. In-house beer and huge Spare Ribs made an easy setting to get to know each other and there was much to laugh about.

Very alltickets style the evening was far from over and the company meeting ended with a barbecue at 6 clock in the AT- headquarters.
